Pioneering a safer Metal Plating environment

Environmental advocacy has long been a Standard Plating priority. As residents of the West Springfield, MA community, we live and have raised our families here and have been incorporating equipment and procedures to help protect the environment long before going “green” was popular. In fact, Standard Plating helped the State of Massachusetts pioneer a program that set up environmental treatment systems and training for metal finishing companies.

Our attention to monitoring procedure safety and reducing environmental waste — combined with our investment in state-of-the-art pollution systems to control air and water emissions — yields results that comply with RoHS standards (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). This directive greatly limits the levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), an polybrominated biphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants used in new electrical equipment.
